The Lethbridge Construction Association (LCA) is a respected and influential voice for the commercial, industrial and institutional construction industry in southwestern Alberta.

We are dedicated to advocating on behalf of our membership on common commercial construction issues and have a strong focus on promoting industry approved safety procedures and processes. Our aim is to provide the necessary tools our members need to obtain high construction standards and business practices and ethics.

LCA members are represented provincially by the Alberta Construction Association (ACA) and federally by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA).

Please note that the LCA Office will be closed on September 30th, 2026 for Truth & Reconciliation Day. We will reopen on Thursday, October 1, 2026

Meeting with AB Infrastructure Minister - 2026

The LCA Board of Directors had the opportunity this past Monday to host Alberta Infrastructure Minister Martin Long and his team to hear firsthand on the state of industry in Southwest Alberta. The minister and his team heard concerns by local trades and contractors who work on Infrastructure projects. Unrealistic construction schedules in contract documents, liquidated damages, procurement methods, timelines and approvals for proposed change orders were some of the topics that were discussed on behalf of LCA members. There was valuable discussion and insight shared among everyone who participated. Thank you also to MLA Lethbridge East Minister Nathan Neudorf for joining us.
